Faculty and students use many different types of content in their teaching, learning and research.

But what are they using and why?

Journals, dissertations, news, primary sources…and much more. ProQuest heard from 1,300 faculty and students about the content types they use and recommend for teaching and learning. Our research paper takes a deep dive into what we discovered about the broadening scope of content they depend on. Why do lecturers think it is important for students to use a variety of information types? Do students use the content that their lecturers recommend? What types of information do students and researchers use most and how does it differ?
